Hi, my name is Peter and I live in Horsham, West Sussex, England. I am now retired, having worked for central government for more years than I care to remember. I am married to Maggie and we have had four cats, although there is only the one now. Unfortunately, Maggie suffers from MS, so our life is somewhat different to what it was some years back… but we still enjoy doing what we do. I am cricket-mad, always have been, always will be. I am also very much an Italophile, having fallen in love with italy on our first holiday there back in 1990. I like to think that I am not one of those gormless twerps who think there is nothing wrong whatsoever with Italy – when you have the Camorra AND Silvio Berlusconi, you know full well that things could be a hell of a lot better!
I have a brother, who lives in the Middle-East – well, rather him than me is all I can say. All that heat – there is no way I could hack that!!

Peter
I saw some photos on your Flickr page. I am designing a brochure for a new development in Horsham and would like to use the following two images…

Would this be possible? I would need them in a high res format.

Debbie
Hi Peter
I must have been at Collyers about the same time as you.
What did you dislike about it?
Oh, just about everything. I’m sorry, Richard, but I do not remember you, but then I have been pretty successful at blotting a lot of it out. A friend of mine described the headmaster as a pervert, a description with which I totally agree. Then there were Palmer and Pointer, who behaved like a couple of ex-Gestapo, the idiot Bennett who preferred to talk about his cat rather than teach Latin, and poor old George Henderson, who thought nothing of smashing a hard book or 3 round the back of a boy’s head and would throw those hardbacked blackboard rubbers at us. Things had changed by the time my brother Phil went there, for the better obviously. By and large you could say I absolutely hated my time there.
